Built in NYC
They Build Hardware. You Make It Possible.
The engineers building orbital platforms, nuclear reactors, supersonic engines - are depending on your software to work every single day.

Our Mission
Artifact is the fastest way to design electrical systems and harnesses across an organization - accelerating every step in the product lifecycle:
We raised $3.5M to build a real-time, collaborative platform that reflects how hardware actually gets built. Every artifact system view is auto-generated and traceable to a single-source of truth.
We believe hardware engineering should be rigorous, deliberate, and system-aware. We work directly with customers solving the world's hardest problems to modernize how hardware is engineered.

This will include high-performance diagramming, real-time collaboration, and physics-based modelling and simulation. You'll help architect the technical foundation of a product that's redefining how engineers design and build hardware.
- Architect application infrastructure, including cloud ecosystem, AI copilot, and physics simulation backend
- Lead development of major features - including architecture, implementation, deployment, and sustainment
- Collaborate with product team to deliver capabilities that customers need
- Define and support technical standards and long-term system architecture as the product and team scale
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with ownership of production systems or large-scale features
- Deep expertise in at least one layer of the stack (e.g. frontend frameworks, real-time collaboration, AI systems)
- Proficient with modern tools such as react, typescript, and python
- Strong product intuition and ability to collaborate across disciplines in a high-content fast-paced environment
As a forward-deployed software engineer at Artifact, you'll be the bridge between our core engineering team and the world's most advanced hardware companies. You'll work side-by-side with customers to understand their engineering needs, build tailored solutions, and ensure Artifact integrates into their workflows.
- Interface with aerospace, robotics, and manufacturing companies to deploy and support Artifact
- Build applications, pipelines, and scripts to support customer deployments, feature-requests, and bug fixes
- Collaborate with core engineering team to determine product priorities, system architecture, and UX design
- Travel occasionally to customer sites to support deployments, train users, and gather feedback
- 3+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer (e.g. react, typescript, python)
- Familiar with physical systems (e.g. robotics, aerospace, automotive, industrial)
- Able to debug across the stack and motivated to deliver robust fixes quickly
- Strong communication skills and experience working directly with cross-functional teams
